Congratulations to all those who will be celebrating their coming of age.
Admission tickets for the 2025 Kochi City Coming-of-Age Ceremony have been sent to those born between April 2, 2004, and April 1, 2005, who are registered as residents of Kochi City as of November 1, 2024. The barcode on your admission ticket will be scanned at the reception desk, so please remember to bring your ticket on the day of the ceremony. Before attending, please read the precautions below.Please note that the content of the ceremony may change. 〇Outline of the 2025 Kochi City Coming-of-Age Ceremony
•Date: Sunday, January 12, 2025
•Location: Kochi Prefectural Gymnasium (2-1-53 Sanbashidori, Kochi City)
•Time: Doors open at 11:15 a.m.; Ceremony begins at 12:00 p.m.
〇For Those Living Outside Kochi City Who Wish to Attend
•Please go to the ticket reissuance desk near the entrance to receive an admission ticket. You will need to present proof that you live outside Kochi City, such as an invitation to a ceremony from your home municipality, a driver’s license, student ID card, or a utility bill.
〇Precautions
•Entry: Please enter the venue promptly after doors open at 11:15 a.m.
•Admission Restrictions: Entry will not be permitted after 12:00 p.m.
•Appropriate Behavior and Attire: In the spirit of celebrating new adulthood, those behaving or dressed inappropriately may be denied entry or asked to leave.
•During the Ceremony: Please refrain from talking or using cell phones.
•Transportation: Parking is not available at the venue, so please use public transportation and avoid arriving by car.
•Accessibility: If you require wheelchair access or assistance, please notify the Youth and Office Management Division in advance.
〇Childcare Service
Childcare services will be available on the day of the ceremony.
•Eligibility: Children aged 3 months to 3rd grade
•Time: 10:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
•Location: 4th Floor Playroom, Kochi City Ushioe Citizens Library (tentative)
•Registration: Contact the Youth and Office Management Division by January 6 (Mon.) at 088-823-9468 (weekdays, 8:30 a.m. - 5:15 p.m.; closed on weekends and holidays, December 30 to January 3).
〇Hatachi no Hiroba (20-Year-Olds' Plaza)
Youth volunteers will set up the Hatachi no Hiroba as a meet-up and photo spot on the day of the ceremony.
•Location: Kochi City Seinen Center (next to Kochi Prefectural Gymnasium)
•Hours: 12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. (tentative)
•Features: Dressing area, exhibit area, commemorative photo spot
